Eggland's Best Organic Eggs

Eggs are a great source of protein and hard-to-get nutrients like choline and lutein, but some eggs are better than others, when it comes to the way the hens are treated and raised. Eggland's Best come from hens that are fed organic vegetarian feed, and the eggs taste incomparably fresh.

Good Food Made Simple Unsweetened 100% Steel Cut Oats

Frozen…oatmeal? Yup, you read that right. Since steel cut oats typically take 30 minutes to prepare properly, we love this as the ultimate convenience food: It's pre-cooked, flash-frozen, and can be defrosted in just 3 minutes. Plus, there are no preservatives or artificial flavors: just filtered water, whole grain oats, and sea salt. Spruce up yours with a spoonful of nut butter, a sprinkling of nuts, or chopped fresh fruit.

Nature's Path Whole O's Cereal

Full of organic corn and whole grain rice, this cereal proved appealing to adults and kids alike. Crunchy and light, you can eat these O's over milk, in yogurt, or by the handful. A 120-calorie serving contains 3 g of fiber, 2 g of protein, and fewer than 5 g of sugar.

KIND Healthy Grains Peanut Butter Whole Grain Clusters

You'd be forgiven for treating all granola-like snacks with a "been there, done that" attitude, but we're glad we checked our preconceptions at the door when we tried these. Packed with whole grains like amaranth, quinoa, and millet, Kind's grains are also gluten-free foods! Each crunchy cluster has the perfect hint of peanut butter without overwhelming you with a sugar (or salt) rush. And unlike other granolas filled with fat and sugar, these contain just 3.5 g of fat per serving and 5 g of sugar. We liked it with nut milk, or by the handful as a filling snack.

French Meadow Bakery Sprouted Grain Bread

If you've tried sprouted-grain bread but were turned off by the cardboard-like consistency, consider this loaf a great reason to give it another shot. Most whole wheat bread is made by grinding the wheat kernels into flour, losing vitamins and minerals in the process. Not so with sprouted grains, which are rich in fiber, folate, and amino acids. This particular bread is made from a blend of sprouted wheat berries, sprouted grains, and legumes, and contains of a satisfying 4 g of fiber and 5 g of protein per slice. The result: to-die-for texture and a slightly nutty flavor we love as part of a filling breakfast or lunch.

Earthbound Farm Organic Tomatillo Black Bean Protein Energy PowerMeal

The next time you're tempted to shell out $10 for a salad of wilted greens from the cafeteria, try these PowerMeals instead. Boasting a generous portion of spinach or baby lettuces, they're also topped with healthy (and interesting) add-ons, such as quinoa, black beans, and dried blueberries. While we liked them all, the zesty flavors of the Tomatillo Black Bean won us over. Better still: They're organic.

Annie's Lite Goddess Dressing

It should come as no surprise that Annie's creamy, nutty Goddess dressing is a favorite among salad lovers, but with 130 calories and 13 g of fat per serving, it was too rich for our blood. The good news? The light version is just as tasty, but with half the calories and fat. Don't be surprised if you find yourself craving greens more often with this in your fridge.
